Legs For Days
Did you know: Makeup can be applied to your legs to make them look sexy, long, lean and flawless? Sometimes those stems need a little boost! Scars, veins and other imperfections don't stand a chance, ladies!
I would first suggest priming the area. Start by shaving and exfoliating and just like your face, make sure to moisturize.
The skin on your face is a lot thinner than other areas of your body. A cream based foundation is your best bet. Although there are products on the market that read "Face and Body", I would probably stick with a studio product which tends to hold fuller coverage or a foundation meant specifically for the body.
Some products that are worth a try are Sally Hansen Airbrush Leg Makeup. This line offers a lotion, an aerosol and a shimmer spray. The transfer is very minimal and lasts all day. This product is easy to find at most drugstores and retails for about $10.
For something heavier, I would use the infamous Dermablend. I suggest this product to dancers because of its durability. Dermablend is also known as the number one foundation to cover tattoos. I don't know that the product is marketed as "waterproof" however, I do know that it'll last throughout an entire routine or show and is great for performers.
These products can be applied with a brush or sponge, just like you would for your face.
Lastly, finish with a powder to set the foundation.
FUN TIP: put a line of shimmer down the front of your leg to make them look longer!!

Just read an awesome Cosmo article on a new leg/ body glow product that celebs and makeup artists alike are going nuts for. Its called Red Carpet Kolour or RCK, created by makeup artist Joanna Schlip.
The article describes the product to be a fragrance free lotion that is applied directly to the skin, without any kind of primer lotion. Theres a load of skin-benefiting ingredients and an SPF. It said to be long lasting and comes is three shades. Red Carpet Kolour retails for $50 for a 5.5 ounce bottle.

DIY: Matte Lips
Did you know you can easily turn a sheer lipstick into a matte color? Simply apply translucent powder onto any lip color using a small, fluffy brush and watch the shine disappear! Too easy!

Marc Jacobs Beauty to launch at Sephora
Marc Jacobs is launching a beauty line!! The designer has paired with Sephora Originals and is set to debut in store August 9th. How exciting!! Tell me you've never obsessed over those fabulous runway looks?!
Colors are said to be BOLD, with no nude shades, which MJ thinks are "a little lazy". The collection will launch with 122 pieces and is broken down into 4 categories: Smart Complexion foundation and powder, Blacquer eyeliner and lash lifter, Hi-Per Color lip products and eyeshadow, and Boy Tested, Girl Approved unisex essentials.
MJ told WWD:
“I like the idea of transforming oneself, making and modeling yourself to what you feel like being, whether that’s once a day, three times a day, seven times a week, whatever it is. I like the transformative qualities of fashion and fashion to me is not just clothing, it’s handbags, it’s shoes, it’s clothes, it’s hair, it’s makeup, it’s fragrance, it’s the whole ritual of making those choices, of enjoying the ritual, of making the choices that will tell the world who you want to be that day. I think everybody is the star in their own movie. And so you dress the part, depending on how you feel or what the part is that day.”
Also adding:
“I believe in individuality, and what I think comes across as most stylish and modern is a kind of irreverence and a sort of self-confidence,” said Jacobs. “I don’t find beauty in perfection, meaning Photoshop and airbrush. That doesn’t appeal to me. I like a gap between the teeth, I like mascara that does run a little bit or makeup that’s smudged. I like a bit of imperfection — I find it just more interesting.”

Cheap Trick- ELF Review
In my Make Up For Ever post I mentioned a product that is comparable to the HD finishing powder. Well, here's a few products that I think are worth the review and write up. I would highly recommend checking these bad boys out.
ELF HD Finishing Powder- Easily comparable to the HD Make Up For Ever powder. I actually bought this one day at Target just to compare. At $8, I wasn't too concerned about tossing it in the junk drawer if it sucked. I was beyond surprised and super excited when I discovered how similar the two products were. Best part, its only a fraction of the price and double the size and this powder lasts me way longer. Awesome find. I have seen ELF products for retail in a few different stores, including Target. The powder retails for $6 on the ELF website and you can purchase it HERE.
ELF Makeup Cleansing Cloths- Ok, so I feel like these cleansing cloths are basically all the same. I chose to buy these because of the $3 price point. Enough said. Non-greasy and works great, even on waterproof liners and mascara. Purchase them HERE.
ELF Studio Powder Brush- Of all the brushes I own, this might be my favorite. And guess how much I paid for it?! $3. I use it for foundation to get an airbrush effect. I have yet to see a bristle fall out. Find it HERE.
ELF Cream Eyeliner- These little jars are great. I would compare it to MAC's fluidline gel liners- incredibly similar. I've only seen colors Black and Brown in stores however, the ELF website has a whole variety of colors to choose from. Retails for $3. Purchase them HERE.
ELF Essential Waterproof Eyeliner Pen- Compare to MAC's Penultimate Eye Liner. A felt tipped eye liner pen that makes application a breeze and lines sharp as can be. As much as I loved the MAC pen, it only lasted for about a week before it dried out. Granted, a felt tip pen is going to dry up rather fast but I really thought for the price, it'd last a bit longer. The ELF felt tip liner outlasted MAC's by weeks. The color is not as intense on the first swipe, but a second application and viola! The cat eye has never been easier. Retails for $2 and at that price, who even cares how fast it dries up! Purchase yours HERE.
ELF Studio Blush- I dont know what it is about this little compact of blush that I love, but I do. It's inexpensive and the colors are great. It retails for $3. I would suggest finding a shade similar to your everyday color and compare them. I've ditched my Nars Orgasm (fave) and picked up one of these guys a few months back... I've been loving it ever since. Purchase ELF Studio Blush HERE.
These are just a few products that I find very comparable to more expensive lines. I'm basically a makeup junkie so I buy, buy, buy. But it's always nice to come across a product regardless if it's drugstore or department store, that deliver. There's nothing worse (ahem, MAC's eyeliner pen) than a product that fails or just isn't at all what you thought it would be.
